Analysis & Design
Analysis and design are the foundations of any course development. I believe strongly in thorough needs analysis, collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to determine where learner skill/knowledge gaps may exist, before creating a design or beginning course development.
Development
Most of my extensive instructional design and technical writing background has involved creating engaging instructor-led training (ILT), virtual ILT (vILT), and blended learning solutions on a wide variety of technology for public and private global technology companies. My forte is translating complex functionality into easily understood information for users.
Implementation
Throughout my career, I've had the pleasure of teaching many of the courses I developed and interacting with global learners. I can assess and plan technical, classroom capacity, and trainer needs to accomplish multiple, concurrent ILT, vILT, and blended learning course deliveries for large-scale software rollouts affecting users working remotely or in disparate locations.
Evaluation
Evaluations are a critical component of the learning development lifecycle. In my experience, a learner's success in passing a certification exam or completing a comprehensive student exercise serves as an evaluation of both the quality of the course design and effectiveness of instructor delivery.
